Dr. Santosh B. Patil is the Director and Chief Vascular Interventional Radiologist at Expert-IR Vein and Vascular Clinic.
He is a board-certified interventional radiologist. An alumnus of Lokmanya Tilak Municipal Medical College, Sion, Mumbai (popularly known as Sion Hospital) and Kovai Medical Center and Hospital, Coimbatore, he learned the nuances of interventional radiology under the able guidance of renowned Dr. Mathew Cherian and Dr. Pankaj Mehta, pioneers of interventional radiology in India.
He is specialist in varicose vein treatment and among the few doctors in the country who have expertise in Venaseal treatment. He has an honor to be the youngest to have performed maximum number of Venaseal procedures, which is the latest and current best treatment for varicose veins.
He also has expertise in treating complex diseases like uterine fibroids, enlarged prostate (BPH), varicocele, DVT, leg ulcers, gangrene, diabetic foot, stroke, liver cancer, thyroid nodule using highly advanced non-surgical interventional radiology treatments. He has special interest in performing trans-radial uterine fibroid embolization, prostate artery embolization and trans-jugular varicocele embolization.
He has a calm demeanor and works with patient-first approach. He has always gone above and beyond to minimize the sufferings of his patients in a least painful way. The rescuer for his patients and the instructor for his co-workers, Dr. Patil has consistently tried to outdo his performance and deliver unsurpassed results in each of his roles.
He has rich academic and research experience with multiple research papers to his credit and is also a part of reviewer forums of various journals. He is an esteemed member of various international and national societies of vascular and interventional radiology.
